Safe and readily available Water is important for public health, whether it is used for drinking, domestic use, food production or recreational purposes.

Improved water supply and sanitation, and better management of water resources, can boost countries’ economic growth and can contribute greatly to poverty reduction.

Keeping in view its importance, KIRF has been creating awareness especially in the wealthy and highly Blessed members of the community to donate for making arrangements of clean water in those areas, where clean water is generally not available. The water schemes already established by KIRF in different areas at different times in Azad Kashmir have played a considerable role in resolving the issue of clean water. The wate projects built by KIRF in such a way that not only human beings are being benefited but also very useful for the animals and irrigation purposes.

Pakistan’s 2022 monsoon season produced significant rainfall, devastating floods. The floodwater contained sewage and other contamination caused serious health issues. KIRF management sent a team in effected areas of District Rajanpur, where the team arranged to install 50 hand pumps in different villages to provide clean drinking water to the flood victims.
